My name is Erika and I was born in Encinitas, but raised in Oceanside, California. I am the youngest of three. My brother and sister are 26 and 24 years old, respectively. I am also a first-generation college student and this is my third year at California State University, San Marcos. My major is Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. If all goes well, I am expected to graduate Spring 2020. I was named the President of the Latino Business Student Association in November 2017. In the next two semesters, I want to open up job and networking opportunities for all LBSA members. LBSA allowed me to build relationships with faculty, entrepreneurs, and peers. Last semester, I was named the scholarship recipient for the Business Professional Development Program. My 4.0 and community involvement also allowed me to attain the Leonard and Jean Evers Scholarship. After I leave Cal State, I plan to go to graduate school to obtain my Ph.D. I also want to be an advocate for the National Eating Disorder Association because I want to raise awareness for eating disorders. I am very easy going and I enjoy meeting new people. So, don’t be afraid to talk to me. 🙂
